66, of Sherwood, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021. He was born on July 3, 1954, to parents James Ellis, Sr. and Elvie Laird Ellis of Cotton Plant, Arkansas. He served his country in the U. S. Army after graduating from high school and went on to work for Club Products and Triangle Engineerin­g until his retirement. He was a member of the Airport Road Church of Christ. Napoleon, known to family and friends as “Na”, loved to work but his favorite thing to do was to go fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Freddie Ellis, and Bennie Joe Ellis; sisters, Limmie Ellis, and Sharlet Ellis, and his first wife, Mavine Ellis. Napoleon will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 26 years, Susan Ellis, sons, Wenfred Ellis, and Lavar Ellis; step-daughter, Staci Phillips; step-daughter, Sheryl Roy; stepson, Terrell Roy; sisters, Diane Ellis, Dorothy Ellis, and Joyce Ellis; brother, James Ellis, Jr.; sisterson-law, Cheryl Newton, and Rose Miles; four grandchild­ren, Kennedy Ellis, Melaine Ellis, Daylon Cooperwood, Sherrquia Ellis; his devoted friends, Tom Hibbon, and Albert McCoy, along with a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the physicians and nursing staff of St. Vincent Hospital for the devoted care that they provided to Napoleon during his illness.
