MARIAN DAVIS GOFF

of Little Rock passed away at the age of 93 on March 27, 2021, in Dallas, Texas. Marian will be remembered as a gracious lady, with an infectious smile, full of energy, and known for her many years of service in Little Rock and all of Arkansas.

She was born in Little Rock on December 17, 1927 to the late Walter Davis and Marian Robinson Davis. She was educated in the Hot Springs and Little Rock public school systems and attended the University of Arkansas in Fayettevil­le.

Marian was an active community volunteer. She served as president of the Junior League of Little Rock. She also served on several boards including The Boys and Girls Clubs of Little Rock, and she worked with The World Wide Travel Company. In her later years she spent much of her time traveling with her husband, Robert. They traveled around the world for their honeymoon and everything after that was just icing on the cake. She spent her summers with Robert at their Epworth Heights cottage in Ludington, Mich., and spent many winters in Cuernavaca, Mexico.

Marian is preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Goff; and by her daughter, Cindy Coates Miller.

She is survived by her son, Jamie Coates; and daughter, Robin Coates Look (David), both of Dallas, Texas; her son-in-law, Pat Miller, of Little Rock; and her grandchild­ren, Mat Miller, Marian Miller Steward (Eric), Jay Coates (Mackenzie), all of Little Rock, Tait Coates (Katie) of Charleston, S.C., Robinson Look (Claire) of Austin, Texas, and Kate Look and Wilson Look of Dallas, Texas, and many great and great-great-grandchild­ren. Other survivors include her Goff family, whom she claimed as her own.

Her smile and generosity will be missed by all. Any memorials may be sent to The Epworth Memorial Foundation, 1161 N. Lakeshore Dr., Ludington, Mich. 49431. A memorial service for family and close friends will be held on Friday, May 7th at 2 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Little Rock.
