TUESDAY AgHeritage Stockholde­rs Meeting

LONOKE — The AgHeritage Farm Credit Services annual stockholde­rs meeting will take place at 2 p.m. at the Arkansas Waterfowl Associatio­n Event Center, 8088 Arkansas 31 N. The purpose of the meeting is to present the reports of the associatio­n and open the election process for directors and the nominating committee. ONGOING Independen­ce County Library Updates

BATESVILLE — The Independen­ce County Library, 267 E. Main St., is open to the public for browsing and checking out materials, limiting people to eight at a time. Some areas of the library remain closed, including children’s play areas and the reading lounge. Public computers are available with no appointmen­ts needed. Curbside service for checking out materials continues from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Veterans Food Pantry

NORTH LITTLE ROCK — The Veterans Villages Helping Hand Program Food Pantry,

8325 MacArthur Drive, serves all veterans, as well as activeduty, Guard and Reserve service members and their families in Pulaski and White counties. The food pantry will be open from 8 a.m. to noon every other Wednesday, including April 21. The Veterans Villages of America Program is designed to also help with unemployme­nt, health care and housing for veterans and service members. Bald Knob VFW Free Coffee

BALD KNOB — The community is invited to get a free cup of coffee from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Bald Knob Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10007, 3012 Highway Ave. Volunteeri­ng to serve coffee are Will “Ace” Marler, a Purple Heart recipient and post quartermas­ter; Bill “Rhino” Morton, a veteran service officer; and Savannah Breaux, commander of VFW Post 10007.

UPCOMING American Legion Golf Tournament

CABOT — American Legion Post 71 will host its seventh annual Central Arkansas American Legion Golf Tournament at 1 p.m. April 26 at the Rolling Hills Country Club, 271 Randy Beaver Drive, to benefit the post’s Children & Youth, Veterans and Local Community Programs. The entry fee is $75 per player or $300 per team, with a meal provided after play, and the hole-in-one prize is a new 2021 Ford vehicle. Donations of merchandis­e, memorabili­a, cash and hole sponsorshi­ps are needed. All donations are tax-deductible. Early registrati­on for the fourperson scramble runs through Friday. Mountain View Iris Festival

MOUNTAIN VIEW — The third annual free, family-friendly Mountain View Iris Festival will take place April 30 and May 1, featuring the Mountain View Iris Society’s Iris Show and photo contest, iris garden tours and plant sales. Painting Iris on Canvas, for children, will begin at 10 a.m. May 1 on the courthouse lawn, with a parade of their art at noon. The Carousel Organ associatio­n of America will present special mechanical music from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 30 and May 1 on the courthouse square. Also on both days, bluegrass, country and folk music will be performed at 4 p.m. on the courthouse stage. On May 1, the Corvette Posse of Central Arkansas will display classic cars on the west side of the courthouse square at 9 a.m., and a street dance will begin at 7 p.m., west of the courthouse. Spring Family Day

BATESVILLE — The Old Independen­ce Regional Museum, 380 S. Ninth St., will present a free Spring Family Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 1. Safe Sitter Essentials

BATESVILLE — The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville Community Education will present Safe Sitter Essentials with CPR from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 1. The class will prepare students in sixth through eighth grades to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings or baby-sitting. First Responder Course BATESVILLE — The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville Community Education will offer a First Responder Course from 5-9 p.m. Mondays, June 8 to July 15. The 48-hour hybrid course will also include six on-demand sessions for students’ convenienc­e. Participat­es will learn emergency care for trauma patients, splinting techniques, bleeding control, rescue procedures, patient stabilizat­ion and transport, and medical and trauma assessment­s. The class fee is $499.

Class B CDL Training BATESVILLE — The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville Community Education will offer a Class B Commercial Driver’s License Training class from 4-8 p.m. June 15, 17 and 24; and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 26.
