MONDAY
Dardanelle Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet
DARDANELLE — The Dardanelle Area Chamber of Commerce will present its annual banquet at the Carolyn M. McGee Community Center on Arkansas 22. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the event will begin at 6:15. The evening will include a silent auction, dinner, an awards presentation and guest speaker Todd Yakoubian, KATV meteorologist and news personality. The meal will consist of catfish and shrimp, catered by Quitman Catfish Barn. State Rep. Mary Bentley, R-Perryville, will present awards. Tickets are $40 at the door, or $35 presale by calling the chamber office at (479) 229-3328. Table sponsorships are $300 for a table that seats eight.
FRIDAY Re-Prom Chamber Gala
FAIRFIELD BAY — The Fairfield Bay Area Chamber of Commerce will present Re-Prom Chamber Gala 2021 from 6-9 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce/Visitor Center, 365 Dave Creek Parkway. Participants can wear attire appropriate for the year they graduated from high school to receive a free 2021 Chamber Yearbook, or simply dress in their best prom attire. The event will include photo opportunities, yearbook signing and a catered meal from Hickory Hill BBQ of smoked chicken, potato salad, baked beans, sweet coleslaw, roll, dessert and beverages. SATURDAY Volunteer Fair

ONGOING Fairfield Bay Library Updates
FAIRFIELD BAY — The Fairfield Bay Library Board requests that patrons who visit the library continue to wear masks to help ensure the safety of its patrons, staff and volunteers. Social distancing is encouraged, all five computers are open for public use, and newspapers and magazines are available for reading. Book donations are not being accepted at this time because of a backlog of previous donations. The library’s current display is art by Jeanne Homuth: An Art Retrospective, depicting her work throughout her life in oils, watercolor and acrylics. Veterans Food Pantry
NORTH LITTLE ROCK — The Veterans Villages Helping Hand Program Food
Pantry, 8325 MacArthur Drive, serves all veterans, including active-duty, Guard and Reserve service members and their families in Faulkner and Perry counties. The food pantry will be open from 8 a.m. to noon every other Wednesday, including April 21. The Veterans Villages of America Program also helps with unemployment, health care and housing for veterans and service members. Food Pantry and Thrift Store
MORRILTON — The Conway County Care Center’s food pantry, at 108 W. Broadway, is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Residents of Conway County may visit the pantry once a month to take home free supplemental food, regardless of household income. The center also operates a thrift store, where clothes and household items are available at a low cost, or free when there is an immediate need. ATU Outdoors Spring Commencement
RUSSELLVILLE — Arkansas Tech University will host outdoor, in-person commencement ceremonies for the spring 2021 semester at Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field (the ATU football stadium). The ATU-Ozark Campus’ ceremony for spring 2021 graduates will be at 7 p.m. May 6, and spring 2021 graduates from the ATU campus in Russellville will be honored at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. May 8. Free State of Yell Fest
DARDANELLE — The Dardanelle Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 30th annual Free State of Yell Fest on May 7 and 8. Activities will include the Run Like Yell 4-mile run, live music, a carnival, fireworks and the Lions Club’s annual pancake breakfast.
