QUITMAN — The Heber Springs Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet will take place at The Barn at Fawn Hollow in Quitman. The event will begin with a mix-and-mingle in the Cowboy Chevrolet Hospitalit­y Area at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and a live auction and raffle. ATU Outdoors Spring Commenceme­nt

RUSSELLVIL­LE — Arkansas Tech University will host outdoor, in-person commenceme­nt ceremonies for the spring 2021 semester at Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field (the ATU football stadium). In case of inclement weather, alternate plans will be announced. The ATU-Ozark Campus’ ceremony for spring 2021 graduates will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, and spring 2021 graduates from the ATU campus in Russellvil­le will be honored at

9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday. A ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday will recognize any 2020 ATU graduate who wishes to participat­e in an in-person commenceme­nt. Free State of Yell Fest

DARDANELLE — The Dardanelle Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 30th annual Free State of Yell Fest on both days. Activities will include the Run Like Yell 4-mile run, live music, a carnival, fireworks and the Lions Club’s annual pancake breakfast. Veterans Food Pantry

NORTH LITTLE ROCK — The Veterans Villages Helping Hand Program Food Pantry, 8325 MacArthur Drive, serves all veterans, as well as active-duty, Guard and Reserve service members and their families, in Faulkner and Perry counties. The food pantry will be open from 8 a.m. to noon every other Wednesday, including May 5. The Veterans Villages of America Program also helps with unemployme­nt, health care and housing for veterans and service members.

Food Pantry and Thrift Store MORRILTON — The Conway County Care Center’s food pantry, at 108 W. Broadway, is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Residents of Conway County may visit the pantry once a month to take home free supplement­al food, regardless of household income. The center also operates a thrift store, where clothes and household items are available at a low cost, or free when there is an immediate need. Swap Meet, Car Corral and Car Shows

PETIT JEAN MOUNTAIN — The Museum of Automobile­s, 8 Jones Lane, will present its 63rd annual Swap Meet, Car Corral and Car Shows on June 16-19. One car show is for original cars, and one is for everything else, including rat rods. The event will feature 900 auto-related swap-meet spaces, 60 arts-and-crafts spaces, 500 carcorral spaces and 100 RV parking spaces with no hookups. Arkansas Tech Band Camps

RUSSELLVIL­LE — The Arkansas Tech University Department of Music will host band camps for students in ninth grade or younger on June 20-24, and for those in ninth grade or older on June 27-July 1. Students in ninth grade are eligible to attend either camp or both. “Daily schedule and rehearsal formats will be similar to the past, with appropriat­e COVID-19 precaution­s in place,” said Daniel A.
