PINE BLUFF — George Moore Reap,

81, of Pine Bluff, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 25, 2021. He was born July 29, 1939, in Herbine, Cleveland County, to the late Robert and Verdie Rauls Reap. George was reared and educated in Cleveland County, graduating from Rison High School. He served in the U.S. Army, and afterwards, he went on and received two years at Capital City Business School. George went on to work in the banking industry for many years and as a consultant for Impact Financial Services before his retirement in December 2004. He was a member of First Christian Church.

George was the son of tomato farmers and spent a lifetime perfecting the Bradley Tomato on the family land in Cleveland County. He loved gardening! George was an avid bass fisherman and could be found many Saturday mornings, on an Arkansas river or lake. At retirement, George and Jerry enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends. George was also quick to offer stories about the adventures and accomplishments of granddaughter Anna. Grumpy was quite proud of his only granddaughter.

George was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 55 years, Jerry Segars Reap, whom he married November 23, 1962, and who passed away May 28, 2018, and his son, Scott George Reap. Survivors include his daughter, Stacy Bradford and husband Melvin of North Little Rock; and granddaughter, Anna Bradford of North Little Rock.
