CABOT — Donia Pauline Harbour Hammons,

88, of Cabot went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 26, 2021. She was born March 8, 1933, in the Zion Hill community of north Pulaski County to the late Johnnie Coke and Donia Webb Harbour.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Paul Michael Hammons; grandson, Martin Robert Hammons; and a brother, Johnnie Wade Harbour.

Pauline enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, and writing about her daily life. She worked as a medication nurse at Rebsamen Hospital in Jacksonvil­le for 10 years. Pauline loved serving in her local church and currently as a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 68 years, James L. Hammons; children, James (Priscilla) Hammons of Champaign, Illinois, Mark (Sandy) Hammons of Cabot, and Miriam Hammons of Jacksonvil­le; grandchild­ren, Simon (Ashley) Hammons, Jackie (David) Shewmaker, Jennifer (Andy) Bates, Abbie (David) Ritchie and Ashlyn Hammons; 10 great-grandchild­ren; siblings, Lanell Jones, Steve (Martha) Harbour, Charlie (Bill) Dillree and Karen (James) White.

The family would like to express our sincere gratitude for a very special friend and caregiver, Dean Williamson, who made it possible for Pauline to remain in her home for the duration of her illness with Alzheimer’s disease. Special recognitio­n to Peter McIndoe with Home Helpers and Hospice Home Care.
