FRANCES TOLL VAUGHT

of Little Rock, Ark., passed away on Sunday, April 25th, 2021. She valiantly fought a diagnosis of Bulbar ALS and finished her battle at the age of 67. Fran was born February 12th, 1954, and raised in Little Rock and attended Hall High School. She graduated from UAMS College of Nursing with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 1978.

Fran went on to excel in her nursing career, becoming a nurse practition­er and working primarily in spinal cord injury and head trauma. Eventually, Fran became the President of the Arkansas Associatio­n of Rehabilita­tion Nurses. Upon becoming a mother, she retired from her nursing career, and focused primarily on her growing family.

Fran was an active member in her community, serving as a devoted member of Saint Andrew’s Church, as well as in the White River and Ozark Region Porsche Clubs, and various garden clubs. She was a master gardener and loved volunteeri­ng in various projects. Most notable of Fran was her love for Jesus, her King, and her extravagan­t generosity with all people.

Fran is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Ervin (Smokey) Vaught, whom she met at the VA Hospital in 1980; her son, David Vaught and wife, Fran Vaught, and their children, Jacob, Emily, Hazel, and Benji Vaught. Additional­ly, her daughter, Julielle Sears, and husband, Ben Sears, and their children, Eli, Elle Harper, and Clara Rose Sears. Fran is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Moore Toll. She is survived by her father, Richard Toll, and her sister, Kathy Watson and family, in addition to her brother-in-law, J.O. Vaught, and sister-in-law, Jo Ann Vaught and family. Fran is a treasured wife, mother, grandmothe­r, and friend, and is deeply missed by all.

The family will host a visitation on Wednesday, the 28th of April 2021, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home between the hours of 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Funeral services for Fran will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, the 29th, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will follow immediatel­y afterwards at Roselawn. The family will host a reception at Saint Andrew’s Church outdoor pavilion around 11:30 a.m., following the burial. All are welcome.
