TRASKWOOD — After a difficult battle with cancer, Deborah Patterson Burnett

passed away peacefully on May 1, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Traskwood to Robert Curtis Patterson Jr. and Frances Elaine Haislip. Debbie was described as warm and caring. Debbie was a fiercely dedicated mother, grandmothe­r, and sister. She was thoughtful and always concerned with the well being of others above herself. Debbie was a wonderful cook and often showed her love by cooking large meals for her family and friends. She was baptized in Traskwood as a teenager and remained strong in her faith throughout her life. She loved her granddaugh­ters, Laila, and Amelia, more than anything and was so proud of being their Nana. She also had a soft spot for animals and adopted and loved countless animals throughout her life and spoiled them rotten. She was a passionate jewelry collector and until her final days, she was always watching JTV for a good sale. Debbie also loved watching the Curse of Oak Island and was a loyal fan of the TV series.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, RC Patterson Jr. and Frances Haislip. Her brothers, Michael Patterson, and David Patterson, and sister, Karen McPherson.

She leaves behind her daughter, Ashly Saint and son in law, Charley Saint, and granddaugh­ter Amelia Saint of San Jose, Calif., her son, Cody Johnston, his fiance Jennifer Mason and their children Kaleb McCauley, Zander Dyer, and Laila Johnston of Malvern. She also leaves behind three sisters, whom she loved dearly. Marsha Davis of Traskwood, Maureen Childress and her husband Paul of Haskell, and Pamela Plyler and her husband Ron of Haskell. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, and nephews.
