VIRGINIA NEAL BUTLER PRIEST,

-

age 94 of Mabelvale accepted her escort into heaven on May 7th, passing peacefully with family by her side.

Being a member of Vimy ridge Immanual Baptist Church, she knew that to be “Absent from the body was to be present with the Lord”

She was no doubt reunited with her parents, Gus and Melvina Butler, brothers Gus and Hoyt Butler; and sister, Fern Butler Durham; along with the love of her life husband “Buck” Priest; and of course her children, daughter Ginger Harris; sons Tony and Dale Priest; along with grandson Danny Priest; granddaughter Kim Priest Herring. And she will now get to meet and hold precious great-grandbaby, Karsyn Michelle Priest. Oh, what a joyous reunion!

Left to celebrate her life and cherish the memories we made are her remaining children, Charles (Sandra) Priest, David (Pam) Priest, Sammy Priest, and daughter Kelli Priest Wyatt.

She sacrificed much to raise seven children, and God never made a better mother. She was grandma to 17, and great-grandma to 28, and great-great-grandma to three. She loved us all and was always eager to know what we were all doing with our lives, she now has a much better vantage point from which to watch over us.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Casey and staff at Hospice House for their support and comfort care.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimers Association, or Butler Cemetery.

Join us to celebrate the life of this precious lady, Wednesday, May 12th, 6-8 p.m. at Griffin-Leggett, laid to final rest, Thursday 2 p.m., at Butler Cemetery. Online guestbook: www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com.

Don’t cry for me – As I am finally free.
