BENTON — Candis Gem “Candy” Webb,

age 64, of Benton, was the daughter of the late D.L. and Dolores Cornett Webb. She was preceded in death by her grandparen­ts, A.S. “Red” and Ira Webb and George and Effie Cornett; Uncle, Allen and JoAnn Webb; Uncle, G.C. and Irene Cornett, Jr.; Aunt, Sarah Cornett; Aunt, JoAnne Boone; and Uncle, Dr. Stephen Rozanski. Candy worked in the medical profession for many years caring with a special love for those in need but her God—given gift was as a floral designer who could make the most exquisite floral presentati­ons for any wedding, bereavemen­t or the most simple or elaborate occasion. Candy was very well read and loved to travel throughout the world but Sanibel Island, Florida, with her life’s best friend Dr. Melody St. John and her daughters, Dr. Rachel Farrell, and Dr. Rebecca Schlau, and their families always held the greatest joy. She was the life of every party and especially at the reunions of the Benton High School Class of 1975!

Survived by her “favorite brother and sister-in-law”, Doyle and Justice Barbara Webb; Leon Cornett and wife, Donna; Gaylen Herzfeld and husband Andy; Justin Cornett and wife Brooke; Margie Daniel and husband Dennis; Libby Hastings and husband Lee; Richard Webb and wife Deedee; Lisa Hefley and husband Dr. Bill; Dr. Melody St. John and partner Kelly; Dr. Rachel Farrell and husband Max; Dr. Rebecca Schlau and husband Jason; Uncle Bill Boone; husband and friend, Alan Williams; a special friend who visited with Candy daily, Gary Williams; and a host of loved cousins, Drew and Ashlea Herzfeld, Abby Herzfeld, Chris and Tiffani Stockton, Dustin and Haley Shelnut, Blaine Shelnut, Cale Cornett, Weezie and Daisy Farrell, and Vivian, Martha May and Noel Schlau. Also, survived by her loving Bella and Mrs. Mellon Cat and two canine nieces, Cloie and Sadie Webb.

A memorial service celebratin­g the life of Candy will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 13, at the First Presbyteri­an Church in Benton where she was a lifelong member.
