78, of Alexander, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. He was born May 27, 1943. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Glenda Jean Lee; his parents, Fleet and Vida Lee; and his brother, Fleet Lee. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Mary Lee; his son, David (Terri) Lee; two stepsons, Richard (Lisa) Hutchinson and Edward Hutchinson; his siblings, Veneta (Gerald) Hines and Lou Montgomery; his eight grandchild­ren, David A. Lee, Mikel (Hannah) Lee, Tyler Lee, Michael Eubanks, Jon David Lee, Chris Hutchinson, Kenny Hutchinson, and Sarah Hutchinson; seven great-grandchild­ren; and a plethora of family and friends who loved him.

He often talked about his childhood and the struggles they faced while growing up. He never finished high school, but later earned his GED and joined the U.S. Navy where he served our country for four years. After his time with the Navy, he returned to Arkansas and began his career with Southweste­rn Bell where he started out as a lineman and was eventually promoted to engineerin­g before retiring. He was a former Eagles member and a current Elks member. He was also a Shriner and a 32nd Degree Freemason which holds the six core values, Reverence for God, Integrity, Devotion to Country, Justice, Tolerance, and Service to Humanity, all of which he displayed daily.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 Hwy 5 North, Alexander, Ark., 72002. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Greg Thompson and David Lee officiatin­g. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
