LINDA DIANE ROURK BLAIR,

-

73, born March 20, 1948, in Elloree, South Carolina, passed away on September 4, 2021, and was surrounded by family.

Linda married Don Blair in 1970 and together they lived a full life dedicated and devoted to their friends and family until Don passed away in 2017. Always a smile on her face, Linda was caring towards others and a compassionate friend. She was the consummate southern woman who was gracious, considerate, and a genuinely caring person. Everyone close to Linda considered her a fashionista and knew how much she appreciated elegance and style. She loved to dress up and visit with her friends and the lovely staff at Trios.

Linda had a passion for antiques and vintage furnishings and founded The Accessory and Lamp Shades Etc. that expanded an exceptional career for over forty years. She was an extremely hard working, smart and savvy business woman that led by example. She would have loved to thank everyone that she ever had the pleasure of working with and the clients that entrusted her. Linda loved to travel and had many special trips with friends. In particular, she enjoyed her buying trips to New England where she would purchase much of the inventory for her retail stores.

Linda adored her three grandchildren and loved watching them excel in school and at sports. She would build them life-sized gingerbread houses and put together an electric model train set at Christmas. But her favorite holiday of all was Easter and she would fill the house with bunnies, cook wonderful homemade meals and host a big Easter egg hunt in her backyard. Linda loved to entertain and holidays with “Gigi”, as her three grandchildren called her, were always something special to experience. If she wasn’t on the sideline cheering on her grandchildren, you could find her in the backyard of her home gardening. She spent countless hours in her backyard with a meticulous attention to detail and appreciated the art of gardening.

Linda would have wanted to personally thank every team member at UAMS who cared for her and fought for her every step of the way. Thank you team UAMS. Linda is survived by her son, Beau Blair and his wife Lauren; three grandchildren, Phillips Dupree Blair, Beckett Tribou Blair, and Barclay Snowden Blair; and her dear sister, Wanda Rourk of Crofton, Md.

A private gathering to celebrate and honor the life of Linda Blair will be held on Sunday, September 12, from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to UAMS via, http://giving.uams.edu or UAMS. Institutional Advancement, 4309 W. Markham St., Slot #716, Little Rock, Ark., 72205. Arrangements are under the direction of: RuebelFuneralHome.com
