LONOKE — Avaline McCann of Lonoke, Ark.,

-

departed from this life and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on October 2nd, 2021. She was born in Lonoke, Ark., July 25th, 1932 to L.B. Lott and Marie Wilson Lott.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, Forrest McCann; four children, Randall, Robin Lanae, Etta Marie, and baby McCann; as well as her brother, J.B. Lott.

She was married to Forrest on August 4th, 1949. Together they had six children. In the early years of their marriage she served at home, taking care of their children, Freddie and Vicki. Throughout the years she held various jobs from working at a license plate factory, a dress shop and as a bookkeeper. In an effort to continue her education she obtained her GED in her 30s, took home correspondence classes in accounting and established an accounting business in her home, Avaline’s Bookkeeping & Tax Service. She then went on to attend classes at UALR and graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at the age of 50.

During this time, she was always faithful to serve her church and her Lord as a long time member at New Testament Baptist church. She was very active with the Ladies Auxillary but was especially fond of working with the youth. Her real joys were working with and mentoring young people in Sunday School, VBS and attending church camp. In addition she was involved in community outreach groups for young people.

The main focus in her life was to ensure everyone she met knew that Jesus loved them and He wanted a personal relationship with them.

She was a very loving and caring Mother, wife, friend, sister and Grandmother. She adored and supported all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed such things as teaching them how to cook, bake, play games, read Bible stories, take trips and supporting them in any way she could.

She is survived by two children: Freddie McCann of Lonoke, Ark., and Vicki Ingle (Charles) of Des Arc, Ark.; three brothers, Leonard Lott (Janetta) of Hazen, Ark., James Lott (Pat) of Greenbrier, Ark., and Luther Lott of Mufreesboro; three grandchildren, Tanya, Amber, and Matthew; six great-grandchildren, Autumn (Forrest), Kendrix (Daysha), Nicholas (Ni’Osha), Jessica (Austin), Logan, and Savannah; four great-great-grandchildren, Ira, Kaiza, Marley, and Namani.
