RUSSELLVIL­LE — Armond “Joe” Becker,

89, of Russellvil­le, died Saturday, October 2, 2021, at his home with his family and the angels of Heaven surroundin­g his bedside. The son of William and Mina Victoria (Hon) Becker, he was born July 9, 1932, in London, Ark. He married Ruth (Trigg) Becker on July 6, 1957, in Russellvil­le.

Joe attended college at Arkansas Tech University. He entered the world of bank finance and advanced to branch management with First National Bank of Russellvil­le where he worked for 35 years.

He was a member of the Point Remove Primitive Baptist, where he served as deacon for more than 30 years, as well as leading in music worship. Joe loved to watch old western movies and his life-long hero was Roy Rogers. He was passionate about health & fitness and once competed as a Golden Gloves boxer. He enjoyed all forms of sports, gardening and listening to spiritual and country music.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Henry Becker (Agnes) and Dwain Becker (Virginia); two sisters, Lucile Becker Price (Bud) and Nadine Becker Dale (Melvin); a brotherin-law Birl Trigg (Sue); and a sonin-law, Justin Welch.

A loving family left to celebrate his life & legacy include his wife of 64 years, Ruth; their daughter, Belinda Horn (Ron) of Sheridan, AR; three granddaugh­ters, Whitney Landry, Willow Frazier (Joe) and Wynn Thompson (Jake); two grandsons, John Horn (Kaci) and Josh Horn; four great granddaugh­ters, Serenity Harp, Evy Jo Frazier, Addison Frazier and Stormi Horn; and a great-grandson, Grayson Frazier; along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Humphrey Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Gary Harvey and Pastor Harold Stumbaugh will officiate. Burial will be at Rock Springs Cemetery in Hector, Ark., by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday beginning at 1 p.m.
