CABOT — Judy Ann Rollins,

-

76, of Cabot, passed away September 29, 2021. She was born August 30, 1945, in Heber Springs, Arkansas, to the late Noal Austin and Marian Katherine (Sykes) Watkins. She lived the majority of her life as a resident of Jacksonville, Arkansas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Kenneth Larry Rollins; and nephew, John Daniel Butler.

Judy retired from Baptist Health Medical Center at Springhill after 32 years of service. Although she wanted to be a high school English teacher, the nursing profession was a perfect fit for her loving, nurturing, and caring nature. Many patients felt loved in their last days as she comforted them and their families. It was her calling. She leaves us with many fond memories. She loved spending time at the Stonewall Pool with her children and grandchild every summer. She was an old-school savory cook, pinch of this and a pinch of that, that many people tried to mimic throughout the years. She loved watching college and NFL football every time it was on TV. She was a huge fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, even spending part of her honeymoon watching a red/white scrimmage game. She was deathly afraid of cats. She hated car shopping with her husband, Ken, and using Consumer Reports. She was a life-long Christian and attended MacArthur Assembly of God Church.

Retirement, due to a car accident in 2001, did not change her as she continued to care for others in many different ways. She always did for others before herself. Family and friends leaned heavily on her nursing experience and sound advice. Retirement offered her the opportunity to spend more time with family, especially her granddaughter, Kourtney. She loved spending time with her great-granddaughter, Kenley, singing songs, watching videos, and taking naps in her chair. Retirement also afforded her time to travel to Europe eleven times with her sister, Nancy, and brother-inlaw, Danny. She also traveled with her son, Rob, and daughter, Beth, to many memorable places.

Survivors include: daughter, Beth (Scott) Davis; son, Rob (Natalie) Rollins; beloved granddaughter, Kourtney (Jacob) Moore; precious step-granddaughters, Ariel Davis and Brittney (Alex) Maertens; great-granddaughter, Kenley Paige Moore; step-great granddaughter, Layah Michelle Maertens; sister, Nancy (Danny) Butler and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 2021, at McArthur Assembly of God Church of Jacksonville by Pastor Marc Bateman.
