PATRICIA (PAT) RUTH CARTER BATEMAN,

81, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord October 13, 2021. She was born September 2, 1940, in Oak Grove, La., to William Ivy and Mary Jane Carter.

Pat moved from Oak Grove, Louisiana to Crossett, Ark., when she was 12 and this is where she finished her education.

She loved the outdoors and had several hobbies. She spent a lot of her time on the golf course, and she also enjoyed bowling, fishing and doing crafts, especially with her children.

Pat was a deep-loving, compassion­ate and caring person who inspired others with her kindness and strength.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Bobbye Oswalt and Dee Carter.

Pat is survived by her loving husband, Van (Butch) Bateman, her daughters, Vicki McClain, Pamela Freeland, Donna Coffey; and stepdaught­er, Deana Bailey; along with her beloved grandchild­ren, Holly McDonald, Brittney Perry, Alex Bailey, Drake Bailey, Michala Binns, and Trista Coffey. She is also survived by her adored great-grandchild­ren, Brae Perry, Zachary Womack, Aubrey Perry, Trysten Coffey, and PJ Binns; along with numerous other family members and friends that cherished her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Pat’s name to Main Street El Dorado, 101 W Main Suite 410, El Dorado, Ark. 71730 or www.mainstreet­eldorado.org.
