BENTON — Leonard Stanley Clark, Jr,

-

of Benton, passed away November 15, 2021. He was born December 16, 1946, to the late Leonard Sr. and Joyce Clark.

Stanley’s gentle and caring spirit and huge heart were felt by all who knew him. He was a man of God and knew that when the Lord called him home, he would be ready to dance down those streets of gold. He loved fiercely, was fun loving, outgoing, and loved to make a deal. He was quick-witted and absolutely loved a good joke. He had a special gift of making anyone he met feel like they had been lifelong friends after only a few minutes. Stanley was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting with family and friends, golfing, fishing and playing around in the woods.

His love for the outdoors was only surpassed by his love for his family. He was very caring and was selfless - often dropping whatever he was doing to help someone out with a request. He loved his wife, Pattye, tremendously and together, they did an all-star job of raising and showing their kids and grand-kids how to succeed in life and more importantly, how to be good people. He loved his siblings and often told stories of their time growing up. His kids and grandkids were his world, and throughout his life he was a fixture at all their events. He could always be found on the sidelines or in the crowd for a practice, school play, class party, musical or a sporting event. It didn’t matter what it was (or if he understood the game), he was there to cheer them on. He was their biggest fan.

Stanley left behind many wonderful memories and stories for all that knew him. He will be sorely missed and will forever be remembered. We love you, Pop. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pattye Clark; two sons, Leonard Stanley Clark 3rd (Molly), David Clark; grandchildren, Madelyn, Rachael, Emily and Jonathan Clark; sister, Joyce Johnson; and brother, Jimmy Clark (JoAnn).

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021, 6-8 p.m., at Pinecrest Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Monday, November 22, 2021, at 1 p.m., at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
