GREENBRIER — Shirley A. (Havens) Goss, 85,

of Greenbrier, Ark., went to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 13, 2021. She was born December 5, 1935, in Pleasant Valley, Ark., to Doyle and Mildred (Burnett) Havens. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and daughter, Minda Ann.

Shirley was “one of a kind,” a true original. She was married for over 65 years to Stan Goss. She was his not-so-silent partner in family and business. She was known for her unique style, her words of wisdom, and her gift for playing the piano.

She released two albums; One of a Kind and Two of a Kind, featuring her gospel blues sound and song-writing ability. She played in churches, bars, and anywhere else she found a piano. She loved her Lord and spent hours reading, praying, and listening to ministers.

She was a loyal member in several churches over the years including, Nuuana Baptist Church in Honolulu, 2nd Baptist Church in Conway, Trinity Faith Tabernacle in Greenbrier, and Cove Chapel Baptist in Springfiel­d. She was a generous contributo­r to many other churches, evangelist­s, missionari­es, and other causes.

She is survived by her daughters, Melissa and Melanie; son, Michael; 11 grandchild­ren, and eight great-grandchild­ren. She is also survived by her sister, Linda (Havens) Smith and many other friends and relatives that admired and respected her.

Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 11 a.m., at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Wooster, Ark. Visitation will be Friday, November 19, 2021, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
