On Monday, November 15, 2021 our Heavenly Father called to rest Mrs. Geneva H. Green. Geneva was reared in Pine Bluff, Ark., by her parents Scottie Higgins Sr. and Maggie L. Higgins.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Scottie Higgins Sr. and Maggie L. Higgins; son, Tyrone Higgins; sister, Freddie Mae Higgins; and brothers, Alarnzo Higgins, Scottie Higgins Jr, Major Higgins, and Larry Higgins.

She was a graduate of Townsend Park High School, undergradu­ate of A.M. & N. College and earned a Master’s Degree in English Education at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She taught English/language arts for 34 years in the Watson Chapel School district, adjunct staff at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and SEARK.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory husband, Saul Green Jr.; sons, Jerald Higgins (Daneen) and Brian Green (Miranda); daughters, Tanita Smith (Antone Cenna), and Melanie Green Beard; grandsons, Donovan Nelson, Carter Beard, Brian Green II, and Brayden Green; granddaugh­ters, Nakeyia Higgins, Deshai Higgins, and Jerrica Higgins; great-grandsons, Jarius Higgins and Jaxton Higgins; great-granddaugh­ter, Bai’leigh Higgins; brothers, Columbus Higgins and Leonard Higgins (Ethel); sisters, Jerline H. Henry, Ellen Anderson, and Jeanette Green; and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

Viewing 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, November 19, 2021, at Brown Funeral Home Pine Bluff, Ark. A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Forrest Lawn Cemetery Pine Bluff, Ark., by Pastor Larry Battles.
