IOWA CITY, Iowa — Molly Anne (Bolling) Goodman,

-

died on November 11, 2021, at Legacy Gardens Memory Care in Iowa City. She was 88 years old. Molly was born on August 18, 1933, in Alma, Ark., to Roy C. Bolling and Mary (Dunlap) Bolling. She graduated from University of Arkansas where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She married H. W. “Bill” Goodman, Jr. on September 7, 1957, in Alma, Arkansas. Molly and Bill resided in Fort Smith, Ark., until 1963 when they moved to Little Rock where Bill opened his own consulting engineer firm. They raised three daughters: Liz (Ellen Lewin), Anne (Rick Massey) and Susan. She is also survived by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Molly was an avid Razorback fan. She also loved going to Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs for Thoroughbred Racing. Molly and Bill had a second home at Lake Ouachita for many years that served as a base for fishing, lake outings, and horse racing season. After Bill died in February 2016, Molly lived for over a year in Fayetteville, Ark. Although she had lived all of her life in Arkansas, she moved to Iowa City, Iowa, in October 2017, to be cared for by her eldest daughter, Liz. Molly loved a party. She preferred that a party with plenty of wine and music by The Eagles and Willie Nelson be held rather than a funeral. Please bid her farewell with a glass of Chardonnay and a Woo Pig Sooie. She will be buried next to Bill in Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, Arkansas, at 11 a.m., on Friday, November 19, 2021. Liz Goodman would like to acknowledge the wonderful and loving care that Molly received at Legacy Pointe Assisted Living and Legacy Gardens Memory Care in Iowa City. Online condolences may be shared at: www.lensingfuneral.com and donations in Molly’s memory can be made to the University of Arkansas Annual Fund or the Alzheimer’s Association.
