Charlie Edward Craig, age 69, of Benton, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 20, 2021. He was born October 2, 1952, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to the late Earnie Matheson, Sr. and Virginia Ratliff Matheson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca June Ramos, his sister, Cheryl Craig and his brother, Virgil Matheson. He served in the United States Navy from 1971 until 1975 stationed on the USS Tusk and the USS Gato. Mr. Craig worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal for 24 years, prior to his health issues, he worked on their Special Reaction Team. He enjoyed wood working, hunting, fishing, camping, going to the beach, and riding his motorcycle. He took two motorcycle trips a year with his buddies. Most of all he loved his Lord and his family. He was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Paulette Hamman Craig, his daughter, Bonnie Rowland and her husband Alex, son-inlaw, Brian Ramos and his wife Hallie, grandchild­ren, Parker Ramos, Ayla Hudson, John Rowland, and Caroline and Harper Raney, brothers, Danny Craig (Dawana) of Paragould, Pat Matheson (Barbie) of Rison, Lewis Matheson of Rison, Earnie Matheson, Jr. of Little Rock, sisters, Glenda Hicks (Chuck) of White Hall, and Sharon Lee (Roger) of Malvern.

The family would like to send a special thank you to all the caregivers, Caytie Cook, Sam Stoops, Cara Kinkide, and Lorie Benson for all the love and support they showed to Charlie and his family.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Buie Funeral Home in Rison with Bro. Wade Toddy officiatin­g. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment
