MONDAY ATU Poinsettia Sale

RUSSELLVIL­LE — The Arkansas Tech University Department of Agricultur­e will have poinsettia sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the ATU Greenhouse­s, on the north end of the campus at 380 W. Harrell Drive, just west of the ATU Office of Facilities Management buildings. Payment may be made as cash, check or credit/debit card. Proceeds from the sale will fund the department’s students’ travel to conference­s and competitio­ns, as well as supplies for labs and classes and the maintenanc­e of greenhouse structures and equipment. The poinsettia­s may be available through the Russellvil­le Community Market with contactfre­e delivery at the Russellvil­le Train Depot from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday. FRIDAY Dardanelle Christmas Parade

DARDANELLE — The Dardanelle Christmas Parade will take place at 6:30 p.m. Friday, with a Dec. 10 rainout date. The parade will begin at Merritt Park on Arkansas 22, then turn north on Union Street and right on Front Street. The grand marshals will be Mark Thone and Kent Tallent, the Dardanelle Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2020 Citizens of the Year. Trophies will be given for first, second and third places in commercial and nonprofit categories. ONGOING Arkansas Governor’s School Applicatio­ns

RUSSELLVIL­LE — Students who would like to attend the 43rd Arkansas Governor’s School need to inquire with their school counselors about the nomination process. Arkansas Tech University will host the 43rd AGS on July 5 to Aug. 1. The Governor’s School serves approximat­ely 400 selected students from around the state during the summer before their senior year in high school. Season’s Greetings Exhibit

CLINTON — The North Central Arkansas Artist League offers a Season’s Greetings exhibit at Ozark Health Medical Center, 2500 U.S. 65 S., in two hallway locations: upstairs near the nursing-home entrance and downstairs in the outpatient wing. The artworks, which are for sale, are by league members Ellen Kelly, Jane Gortney, Kathleen Hadley, Charlotte Rierson and Alecs Long, all of Fairfield Bay; Donna Buercklin of Greers Ferry; and Joyce Hartmann of Choctaw. The exhibit will be open to the public during business hours until mid-January. The Hospital Auxiliary receives a portion of each sale. Arkansas Master Naturalist­s Applicatio­ns

The Foothills chapter of the Arkansas Master Naturalist­s is accepting applicatio­ns. FAMN is an independen­t, all-volunteer organizati­on that promotes the preservati­on, restoratio­n and appreciati­on of the natural environmen­t. Veterans Food Pantry

NORTH LITTLE ROCK — The Veterans Villages Helping Hand Program Food Pantry,

8325 MacArthur Drive, serves all veterans, as well as activeduty, Guard and Reserve service members and their families, in Faulkner and Perry counties. The food pantry will be open from 8 a.m. to noon every other Wednesday, including Dec. 1 and 15. The Veterans Villages of America Program also helps with unemployme­nt, health care and housing for veterans and service members. Food Pantry and Thrift Store

MORRILTON — The Conway County Care Center’s food pantry, at 108 W. Broadway, is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays. Residents of Conway County may visit the pantry once a month to take home free supplement­al food, regardless of household income. The center also operates a thrift store, where clothes and household items are available at a low cost, or free when there is an immediate need. Cleburne County Cares Food Pantry

HEBER SPRINGS — The Cleburne County Cares Food Pantry, 2016 Arkansas 25 Bypass, is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Those who need food are asked to call ahead at (501) 362-8486 so the pantry can have the items ready for pickup.
