ACORN 77, DANVILLE 47 Damian Bohlman scored 24 points as Acorn (7-2) was overpoweri­ng in the first round of the Bearcat Classic in Booneville. Andrew Watts had 18 points for the Tigers. Ayden Hilton scored 14 points for Danville (1-5). CORNING 56, HILLCREST 48 Jayce Couch made six three-pointers and supplied a game-high 26 points as Corning (3-2) came back from a 27-26, halftime deficit to win its first game in the Williams Baptist Classic at Walnut Ridge. Clayton Van Pool had 11 points and Luke Blanchard provided 10 points for the Bobcats. Hayden Callahan came up with 14 points and Tanner Durham scored 11 points for Hillcrest (3-9), losers of three of its past four games. Kyler Kirk added 10 points for the Screamin’ Eagles.

DOVER 53, WESTERN YELL COUNTY 48, OT Ezekiel Stanek’s 13 points powered Dover (2-3) to an overtime victory during the first round of the Bearcat Classic in Booneville. Landen Parker had 10 points for the Pirates. Diego Hernandez scored 14 points and Bradley Buckman ended with 12 points for Western Yell County (4-6). The game was tied 42-42 at the end of regulation.

POTTSVILLE 69, SOUTHSIDE BATESVILLE 60 Landon Martin recorded 22 points for Pottsville (4-2) at the Fast Break Classic in Quitman. Landon Stanley aided with 20 points for the Apaches. Jonathan Calhoun’s 20 points led three players in double figures for Southside Batesville (3-1). Ayden Cuzzort scored 13 points and Jacob Longo posted 12 points for the Southerner­s.

RECTOR 75, ARMOREL 28 Cooper Rabjohn had 21 points in a blowout for Rector (4-1). Kameron Jones also scored 21 points for the Cougars, who pushed their winning streak to four games. RIVERSIDE 54, MAYNARD 24 Carl Gallapoo and Dennis Williams both score 12 points for Riverside (5-6), which snapped a two-game losing streak. Easton Hatch scored 11 points and Grayson Taylor contribute­d nine points for the Rebels, who led 21-12 at halftime before dominating in the second half. Alex James had six points to lead Maynard (3-6).

ACORN 51, DANVILLE 41 Sophie Strasner scored 22 points as Acorn (8-2) staved off a late rally at the Bearcat Classic in Booneville. Daisy Dollar tacked on 11 points for the Lady Tigers. Lydia Stanley had 23 points and Jalen Tolbert furnished 10 points for Danville (1-3), which cut a 21-point deficit to nine before running out of steam.

BIGELOW 54, ROSE BUD 40 A 27-point night from Aubrey Evans sent Bigelow (1-0) to a victory at the Fast Break Classic in Quitman. Kyndal Rooks scored 13 points for Rose Bud (1-3). HILLCREST 46, MAYNARD 39 Hillcrest (5-4) broke away from a 27-27 tied at the end of the third quarter to win in the Williams Baptist Classic at Walnut Ridge. Molly Enison led all scorers with 21 points for the Screamin’ Eagles. Summer Doyle contribute­d 13 points. Amanda Nelson had 15 points and Jaydyn Seawel scored nine points for Maynard (5-8), which had won three of its previous four games before Monday’s loss.

RECTOR 52, ARMOREL 27 Ellie Ford’s 14 points and four rebounds gave Rector (3-4) the boost it needed before opening 2A-4 Conference play today against Earle. Morgan Garner added 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Lady Cougars. SHILOH CHRISTIAN 57, RUSSELLVIL­LE 55 Hailey Tunnel had 34 points, 5 steals and 5 assists in a road victory for Shiloh Christian (5-3). Maiesha Washington chipped in with 12 points and nine rbounds, and Eden Graves pumped in eight points and five rebounds for the Lady Saints.

SLOAN-HENDRIX 53, POCAHONTAS 47 Katelyn Graddy led a fourth-quarter surge for Sloan-Hendrix (3-6) in the opening round of the Williams Baptist Classic at Walnut Ridge. Gaddy finished with 19 points and Makayla Gosha had 15 points for the Lady Greyhounds. Isabella Jansen scored 14 points and Lauren Berger collected nine points for Pocahontas (2-3), which tied the game at 38-38 in the third quarter after trailing 28-25 at halftime. SOUTHSIDE BATESVILLE 61, POTTSVILLE 47 Southside Batesville (3-1) won its third game of the year behind 20 points from Olivia Allen at the Fast Break Classic in Quitman. Brett Gardner and Callie Robbins both had 18 points for the Lady Southerner­s. Rylie Boley totaled 12 points for Pottsville (4-2). WESTERN YELL COUNTY 53, DOVER 48 Mykaila Rodriguez delivered with 17 points for Western Yell County (7-0), which survived in its first game at the Bearcat Classic in Booneville. Lindsey Gillespie followed with 14 points. Logan Young tallied 18 points and Avie Reams had 14 points for Dover (3-2).
