CHARLES OWEN RICKETT

passed away peacefully on December 9, 2021. Charles was born on August 24, 1941, to Bowman and Lona Rickett of Pleasant Plains, Ark. Charles leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his Wife, Lou Net Rickett; Sister, Gwen Pennington; Father, Bowman Rickett; Mother, Lona Rickett. Charles is survived by his Daughter, Tanya Bell of North Little Rock, Ark.; Son, Brad Rickett of Little Rock, Ark.;, Daughter-in-Law, Candice Rickett of Little Rock, Ark.; two beautiful Granddaughters, who were his love: Bailey Noland of North Little Rock, Ark., and Madisyn Rickett of Little Rock, Ark.; and his sister, Margie Meharg of Pleasant Plains, Ark.

He was loved by everyone that met him; a fantastic father who always bragged on his kids, a great husband who loved his family and church, and a friend to all walks of life that he came in contact with. Charles never met a stranger and everyone knew him as Charlie. Charlie owned and operated C&C Carpet Company for over 50 years, serving the state of Arkansas and surrounding states. Charlie’s customers included the top interior decorators, builders, and corporations in Arkansas. Charlie partnered with friend BR Johnson in the early eighties to form one of the state’s largest wholesale and retail fireworks companies in the south. From the large fireworks displays to family retail, Charlie looked forward each July and December seeing his faithful customers, who visited his store each year to buy fireworks and see Charlie.

Visitation services will be held at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will take place at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 14 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Friendly Chapel Food Pantry of North Little Rock, which Charlie supported in numerous ways.
