CONWAY — Richard L. Davis,

78, of Conway, Ark., went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, in Conway, Ark. Mr. Davis was born to the late Hoyle G. Davis and Grace Haley Davis in Marysville, Kan., on Sunday, November 21, 1943.

Richard graduated from Conway High School in 1961. He attended Arkansas State Teacher’s College (now The University of Central Arkansas). Mr. Davis served our country in the Army National Guard for six years. Richard worked in auto parts sales for many years. He worked for H and H auto parts in Conway, Arkansas, J-4 Auto Parts in Hope, Arkansas. He then became a store manager for the Auto Zone in Conway, later becoming Area Advisor. Later, Richard worked for Earl Rogers Napa and Cross Auto Supply. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Conway, Ark. Richard was a loving husband and wonderful father to his children. He enjoyed family get-togethers, hunting, fishing, golf, and other activities with friends and family.

Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Wayne Davis.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of fifty-two years, Bonnie Ausbrooks Davis; son, Aaron Davis (Lauren); daughter, Dawna Gunther (Joey); grandchild­ren, Erica Gunther (Chris), Blake Byrd, Annalea Davis, Emmy Lou Davis, Granger Davis, Belle Gunther, Christian Gunther; great-grandchild­ren, Blakely Gunther, Blayne Gunther, Jack Gunther, Barrett Byrd.

Special thanks to Salem Place Nursing and Rehab Center and Kindred Hospice for their care and compassion.

Funeral Services for Mr. Davis will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Ark. Visitation will be one hour prior. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway, Ark.
