THOMAS DANIELS KENNEDY, SR.

was born January 18, 1955 in Beckley, W. Va., the son of the late David T. Kennedy Jr. and Jean Stephenson Kennedy. He grew up in Beckley and was a 1974 graduate of Augusta Military Academy and a 1982 graduate of the University of Tennessee. Tom was also a member of the Navy and Army National Guard.

In 1985, Tom married the love of his life, Rose Wells Kennedy and together they had two boys who meant the world to him. He also found an even deeper love for his family when he became a grandfathe­r to two beautiful grand baby boys.

Tom was an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and School serving both on Parish Council and School Board. He was a devout Catholic who loved and served the Lord.

Tom also had the “gift of gab” and had a passion for selling advertisin­g. For years Tom worked at the Arkansas Democrat, which was going head to head at the time with the Arkansas Gazette and became The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Tom retired from Publishing Concepts in Little Rock where he excelled and found a home and love for all of his fellow employees.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and brother David T. Kennedy III. Tom is survived by his wife, Rose, of 36 years and their two children: Thomas, Nicholas (Tara) Kennedy; two grandchild­ren Forrest and Mitchell and one brother Michael.

Visitation on Wednesday, December 22nd at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home from 6-7 p.m., followed by recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, December 23rd at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at 211 W. 19th St., North Little Rock. Interment will follow at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock.
