MR. ROY ALLEN BROWNING SR.,

71, of Little Rock, transition­ed to his heavenly home on December 13. Born in Arkadelphi­a, Ark., he was the son of Harris Browning Sr. and Imogene Browning. He attended Dunbar Middle School and later graduated from Horace Mann High in 1970. He was employed at Merico Bakery and later AmTran until he retired. Roy Allen Browning Sr. was a Deacon of Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed dominoes, bowling, fishing, and hunting. He will be remembered for his welcoming smile, the love he had for his family, and for being a faithful servant.

Roy Allen Browning Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 50 years, Betsy Browning; his children: Kasonia Boner (Darren), Vincent Lewis, Roy Browning Jr (Quincy), Cory Browning (Tasha), Ciji Browning-Muldrow (Elbert); one god-son: William Thornton, two sisters: Carolyn Young, Maxine Coats; two nephews: Gregory Young, Tevin Smith; four nieces: Yolanda Browning-Ivy (Donald), Lisa Wiley (Gary), Latonya Bonds, Terica Browning; 19 grandchild­ren, five great-grandchild­ren, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, extended family members and friends.

The family hour will be held on Tuesday, December 21, from 5-6 p.m. at Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 600 East 24th Street, Little Rock. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, at Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church at 11 a.m., with interment at the Arkansas Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
