ROGERS — Linda Sue Tolson,
71, of Rogers, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021, at the Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville.
She was born September 5, 1950, in Rison, to Elbert Clayton and Dorothy Mae Hopper Hyatt. She loved family game nights, church gatherings, and spending time with her grandchildren. It wasn’t often she met a stranger and was a friend to all. Her home was always open and many enjoyed her love for cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jeffrey Clayton and Joshua Matthew Tolson; and a brother-in-law, William Hamilton.
Survivors include her husband, the love of her life for over 53 years, James Tolson of Rogers; a daughter and son-inlaw, Kimberly R. and Brian Vogler of Oxford, Mich.; a daughterin-law, Courtney S. Tolson of Rogers; three grandchildren, which affectionately called her “Meemaw,” McKenna, Braison, and Tippit Tolson, all of Rogers; a brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Jeffie Hyatt of Rison; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Brenda Hamilton, and Mary and Donnie Wilson, all of Rison; a cousin, who was like a sister, Debbie Leopard, and her husband, Roger, of Rison; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be 2 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2021, at Holt Memorial Chapel, with Pastors Alan Robertson and Marcus Harris officiating. Burial will be at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Harrison under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.
Active pallbearers will be Charles Martin, Brian Vogler, Cade Chappelle, Payton Chappelle, and Dale Chappelle. Honorary pallbearers will be Braison Tolson, Steve Kimbrell, Aaron Smith, and Roger Hyatt.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
