Barbara Jean White-Woods transition­ed from labor to reward on December 20, 2021, surrounded by her family. Barbara was the eighth child of 10, born on October 16, 1951, to Reverend Samuel and Marie White in New Orleans, La.

Barbara confessed a hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of her father, Rev. White at Greater King Solomon. She later became a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Dennis Wilson.

Barbara graduated in 1969 from Booker T. Washington High School in New Orleans, La. She later received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 2000. While attending the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff she became a member of the Beta Beta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporat­ion.

Everyone that knew Barbara, knew she loved to shop, travel and have a good time with her family.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles, Samuel, Jr., Isaac, Horace; sisters,: Annie Mae White, Viola Cory, and Almeta Dunlap.

Barbara leaves to cherish her love and precious memories to her sons, Kurwin (Samarra) White, Wilbert (Tara) Davis, and Isaac Woods; grandchild­ren, Darrin (Ericka) Darby, Andre’z Roaf, Ajeye White, Solomon Davis, Amaria White, RyLayne Spears; great-grandchild­ren, Darrin, Jr., and Marina Darby; sisters, Sarah Morvant and Sheila Newbold; a special niece, Dawn Owens; longtime friends, Odile Jones, Debbie Lewis, Virginia Wallace, and Kathryn Brown; and a host of other relatives.
