FLORENCE, S.C. — Charles “Clay” Ball,

47, of Florence, SC, passed from this life into the waiting arms of our precious Lord at home in the early morning of Tuesday, December 28, 2021.

Clay was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Ray and Terry Ball. He graduated from Catholic High School and attended the University of Arkansas in Fayettevil­le. While attending college, he met the love of his life, Julie, and they were married in 1997. Clay and Julie were blessed with 3 wonderful children, Betsy, Parker, and Meredith. Clay was a devoted husband, father, and brother. He was also devoted to his company, Vulcraft. It was his great honor and joy to work at Vulcraft in Florence and Clay was proud to call his Vulcraft teammates, friends. Clay was strong through tragedies and grateful for life’s gifts.

Clay has joined his two precious daughters, Betsy and Meredith, who predecease­d him, as well as his grandparen­ts, Charles and Edna Ball, and Clay and Anne Raney.

Clay is survived by his wife of 24 years and best friend, Julie; his son Parker; his father, Ray; mother, Terry; brother, Tyler; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Jeri Easterling, and Norman and Brenda Peacock; brother-in-law, Johnathan Easterling and family; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 2536 Hoffmeyer Road, Florence, SC 29501.

Funeral mass was held at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Inurnment will take place on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Christ The King Catholic Church, Little Rock, AR, conducted by Bishop Frank Malone.
