BRYANT — Thomas Carter Miller,

-

80 of Bryant, Ark., joined his Savior in heaven on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. He was born on June 26, 1941, in Little Rock, Ark., to Ruth and Archie Miller.

Tom was a kind, thoughtful, and hardworking man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Tom enjoyed his lifelong career as a real estate appraiser with some wonderful coworkers turned friends. He was recognized for his contributions to the IAAO with over 50 years of appraisal work in the state of Arkansas in 2017 with the Marvin C. Russell Award. Tom was a faithful member of the First Methodist Church of Bryant. He had a passion for coin collecting and always loved watching the horse races at Oaklawn. He was a loving husband, father, and a fabulous PawPaw. He loved spending time with his family most of all, whether it was at home in their living room, around the table, at a ballgame, scouting event, band concert, or in one of his most favorite places to share with his family, Disney World. PawPaw never missed an opportunity to see his kids and grandkids do what they loved. He was always their number one fan! And we know he still is today! Tom will be remembered for his love and devotion to his wife and family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and respect to all his family and friends.

Tom is survived by the love of his life and wife of almost 36 years, Brenda; and their five children: Mark Miller (Rhonda) of Memphis, Matthew Miller (Barry) of Maumelle, his ‘Pooh Bear’, Susan Miller of Bryant, Brook Tropp (Derrick) of Benton, Brandy DeLee (Adam) of Hot Springs; and his ‘favorite child/dog’, Rocky. PawPaw left behind seven grandchildren that loved him dearly: Hollee Wadley, Wedge Wadley, Jaclyn Clift (Chandler), Christopher Tropp, Mady Tropp, Austin DeLee, and Reese DeLee. He also leaves behind his ‘big’ sister, Ann Keck of Bryant; and brother, Bill of California; and many other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Miller.

The family would like to thank the medical team at Baptist Hospital for the exceptional care they provided for Tom during his stay.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to: Bryant Boys and Girls Club, c/o Tom Miller Memorial at PO Box 129, Bryant, Ark., 72019 or the First United Methodist Church of Bryant Mission Fund at 508 N. Reynolds Road, Bryant, Ark., 72022.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Bryant, Ark., under the Scout Pavilion, with Pastor Susan Ledbetter officiating.
