CALLIE ANN SHULL,

of Maumelle, passed from this life on January 15, 2022, at the age of 83. She was born May 28, 1938, in Bluffton, Arkansas, to the late Lee and Eunice (Weems) King.

Callie was a graduate of Fourche Valley High School. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Education from Arkansas State Teachers College (now UCA) and a Master of Science in Nutrition from the University of Arkansas in Fayettevil­le. She spent many years as a Registered Dietitian working with pediatric patients at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Callie was passionate about her career and the impact it had on the young patients and their families. In addition to her career, Callie was a talented painter, loved the outdoors and never missed an opportunit­y to spend time with her family, especially her grandchild­ren. On March 5, 1966, Callie married Dr. Ralph Shull and together they built a marriage, family, and life that stood the test of time. Callie’s Christian faith was always important to her. She and Ralph were active members of First United Methodist Church in Maumelle.

Those left to carry her memory are her loving and dedicated husband of fifty-five years, Dr. Ralph Shull; children, Drew Shull and wife Holly of Westfield, Indiana, and Mark Shull and wife Sherry of Newnan, Georgia; grandchild­ren, Emily, Adam, Matthew, and Noah Shull, and Hayden Baggarly. Other survivors include brother, Bill King and wife Barbara; nieces, Lorie Grice, Heather Pannell, and nephew, Richie King along with a host of extended family and beloved friends.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., on Friday, January 28, 2022, at First United Methodist Church in Maumelle with Pastor Aubrietta Jones officiatin­g. Burial follows at Bluffton Cemetery in Bluffton, Arkansas, at 2:30 p.m. The Shull family extends its deep gratitude to UAMS, Baptist Health, and Maumelle Fire Department’s First Responders.
