MOORESVILL­E, N.C. — Geraldine Meeks Bell,

84, of Mooresvill­e, N.C., passed away peacefully on February 4, 2022, surrounded by family. She was born on December 10, 1937, in Moro, Ark., to the late Garland and Edna Turley Burns. Geraldine married William Earl Meeks on May 28, 1955. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1984. She later married Billy Bell in April of 1993; he preceded her in death on June 20, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Burns Fryer; and brother, E.J. Burns.

Geraldine enjoyed photograph­y, flower arranging, playing dominoes, caring for her home and family. She enjoyed shopping, and always looked forward to Friday night catfish dinners. She also always looked forward to visiting her family at Christmas. For many years, she worked at Sanyo in Forrest City, AR, where she made many lifetime friends. She was a longtime active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy, Ark.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Meeks Lincomfelt and Carla Meeks Towery (David); sister, Nelda Partee (Ed); grandchild­ren, Chad Towery (Candice), Jimmie Lincomfelt, Jr. (Summer) and Josh Lincomfelt (Erin); great-grandchild­ren, Camden and Charlie; and several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Services will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesvill­e, N.C. 28625.
