WILLIAM MORRIS “BILL” MUSE,

75, of Sherwood passed away at home with his family on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Bill was born in Paragould, Ark., on February 9, 1947.

He was a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church and especially enjoyed volunteeri­ng with the youth of the church. He sang in the church choir and performed in dinner theater as well. Bill enjoyed participat­ing in mission and outreach activities at church and in the community. Bill loved camping, traveling, and following Arkansas Razorback football. His grandchild­ren were the loves of his life. He worked for 25 years at the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans hospital. When he retired from the VA hospital, he worked for the state of Arkansas until retirement.

Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 50 years, Janice Champlin Muse, his daughter, DeNise Muse Enck, son-in-law, Bob Enck, two grandchild­ren, Maxwell Eli and Ella Grace Enck as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. “Bud” and Glendene Muse, a brother, Daniel Muse, and an infant sister, Judith Muse.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you to consider a donation to honor Bill’s memory to Baring Cross Baptist Church Youth Group or Arkansas Hospice.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107). A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the funeral home with burial following at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at noon.
