BARBARA WINSTEAD MURSKI,

-

82, of Little Rock, passed away in the comfort of her home on March 24, 2022. She was born in Neshoba County, Mississippi, to the late L.L. and Lila Winstead. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years, Jim G. Murski, and brother, Billy Winstead. She leaves behind two children: Dana Murski Renard (Kelley) and J. Matthew Murski (Heather); five grandchildren: Stephanie LoTurco (Steven), Ryan Renard (Tracey), Tyler Renard (Anna), Kelsey Lambou (Steven) and Nicholas Griffiths; and two great-grandchildren: Cruse and Charlie Renard.

She had a lifelong love of antiques and frequenting estate sales in the pursuit of them. This led to years of her being in the antique business. She was a founding member of the Arkansas Glasshoppers, a depression glass club and remained an active member until the pandemic. She and Jim spent many years enjoying their lake home on Greers Ferry. You could frequently find her enjoying the water, watching for hummingbirds while sitting on the deck, or roasting s’mores with her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling the U.S. and the world with her close friends and her daughter. Her visit to Machu Picchu was one of the highlights of her life. Frequent happy hour socials allowed her to remain close to her travel friends even after no longer being able to travel together. A special thanks goes out to Dr. Neal Wyatt and the team at Arkansas Hospice. As well, to the caregivers that ensured she was able to remain at home and enjoy her last months.

A time of visitation will take place at Smith Family Funeral Home Friday, April 1, from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Arkansas Hospice. Arrangements by Smith Family Funeral Home Little Rock, 8801 Knoedl Court, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72205, 501-224-2200. Sign Ms. Murski’s online guestbook at: www.smithfamilycares.com
