82, of Hazen, Arkansas, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022. Sherman was born August 11, 1939, in Hubbard, Texas, and was one of thirteen children. He graduated from North Texas State College with a Bachelor of Business Administra­tion. Sherman later moved to Arkansas where he forged a highly successful career in the insurance industry that spanned more than five decades. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Little Rock for many years and later attended Pinnacle Church of Christ, also in Little Rock. Sherman was a lifelong sports fan. He especially loved watching and attending Razorback games. He loved playing dominoes with his brothers and sisters during family gatherings. Sherman was a kind and gentle man who touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Sherman was preceded in death by his father, Henry (Grady) Moore of Hubbard, Texas; his mother, Marie Annie Willis, of Hubbard, Texas; his brothers, Charles Howard Moore, Billy Joe Moore, and sisters, Rethel Rheubertia Moore Langford, Roxie Lee Moore Gruden, Annie May Moore Winkelmann, Gladys Lucille Moore Sissik, Geraldine Moore Threadgill, Myrtis Moore Mason and Capitola Imogene Moore Baker. Sherman is survived by his wife, Gloria Haynes Moore; his stepson, James Thweatt; his brothers, John Henry Moore and Curtis Moore; sister, Rosemary Moore Neiman and many nephews and nieces, and a whole host of extended family. Visitation and funeral service will be held in Hazen, Arkansas, at the Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 15, 2022.
