HOPE — Leonard Wallace Carle,

age 77, of Hope, Ark., went to be with his Lord, June 11, 2022. He was born July 19, 1944, to Alfred Wilhelm and Imogene Wallace Carle in Stuttgart, Ark. Leonard was a member of First Baptist Church of Hope, where he and his wife, Anita, taught in the Pre-School Sunday School Department for many years. He retired from Upper Southwest Regional Landfill after 22 years of service.

Survivors include his loving, devoted wife, Anita Carle, of Hope; two daughters, Richalle Ney (fiance James Coenen) of Rogers, Ark.; and Renee Clardy (Blake) of Springdale, Ark.; one son, Wayne Smith (Emily) of Benton, Ark.; six grandchild­ren, Smith (Tori) Ney, Isabella Ney, Jameson Clardy, Conor Clardy, Eli Smith, and Josiah Smith; two sisters, Carolena Maier and Aldora Roth (Clark) of Stuttgart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Wilhelm an Imogene Wallace Carle; and one brother, Alfred “Bud” Carle.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening June 14 from 5-7 p.m. at Brazzel-Oakcrest, 1001 South Main, Hope, Ark. 71801. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stan Parris and Val Knight officiatin­g.
