CAMDEN — Millard Dan Terry,

died in Camden, Ark., on June 12, 2022. He was born in Wichita, Kansas, on May 3, 1940, to Millard and Wilma Terry. He attended Wichita schools from kindergart­en through high school; graduating from Wichita’s West High School in 1958. Dan went to the University of Wichita and graduated as a Distinguis­hed Military Graduate in 1963. His first two years of military service were detailed in the Army’s Armor Branch. Following this, he was permanentl­y assigned to the Ordnance Corps of the Army and served in Alaska, Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands and Germany. In 1985, Dan retired from military service following a teaching assignment at the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenwort­h, Kansas. He then moved to Camden, Arkansas where he worked at Lockheed Martin until his retirement in 2002. In retirement, Dan pursued his love of woodworkin­g, hunting, golf, and enjoying his grandchild­ren.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, his son-in law, Matthew Gaston, and granddaugh­ter, Abigail Rogers. He is survived by his wife, Paula of 57 years, and his daughters, Lanae Gaston and Dana Rogers (Gordon) of Camden, AR.; his brother, Dale Terry (Pat), of Olathe, Kan.; brother-in-law, Craig Rindt (Liz), of Wichita, Kan.; grandchild­ren, Sarah (Brooks) Burleson, of Alexander, AR., Reid Rogers and Brock Gaston of Camden, AR.; great-grandchild­ren, Hudson and Jana Claire Burleson of Alexander AR., and numerous nephews and nieces.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Fairview United Methodist Church. Rev. Kat Burchfield will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 1–2 p.m., before the service in the narthex of the church. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangemen­ts.
