He was proceeded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bill and Oscar; his son, Harris Lynn Baker; and son-inlaw Robert Solee’. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ada Virginia Baker of England; four lovely daughters, Beverly (Harvey) DeLaRosa of Keo; Sylvia (Timmy) Brown; Michelle Krisell; and Renee (Jeff) Hargraves, all of England; eleven grandchildren, Tracey Blake, Yolonda Solee’, Ian Solee’, Nick Brown, Adam Brown, Samantha Brown, Shelbie Krisell, Billy Krisell, Aiden Krisell, Lucas Hargraves and Rylee Luna; eighteen great-grandchildren, Traejon, Jordan, Dallas, Traylen, Nehemiah, Kynnedi, Nick, Bella, Drew, Brady, Jonah, Jodi, Crosby, Bentley, Hudson. Sutton, Tyson and Avery.

H.L. resided in England for over 60 years. He was a believer of Jesus, an avid hunter and fisherman, and of that excelled in his hobby of gardening, proving how much he loved the land. He spent many years farming alongside Charles Capps and his friend Butch House. He spent 13 years growing with, and loving, his DaVita family. If he was nowhere to be found outdoors, it was almost guaranteed he would be in his recliner watching a western or somewhere playing dominoes. Apart from hobbies, he led a life that was a prime example of a patriarch. His role of father and “papa” is what he did best. His humor never faded, neither did his smile. Although he was wellknown for his strength and grit, he lived a life with a servant’s heart. As well as having a passion for justice. He was one to never disappoint. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be at 1, on June, 12, 2022, with a memorial service to follow at 2, in the Wilson Robison Funeral Home Chapel.
