age 90, of Little Rock, Ark., died June 10, 2022. He was born on a farm in Hermitage, Tenn., to Torrey Wesley Dodson Sr., and Mary Lee Dodson. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 50 years, Bettie

Ann Dodson, brother, Joe Thomas Dodson and son, Michael Wesley Dodson. Survivors: son, John David Dodson and wife Lynn of Friendswoo­d, Texas, grandchild­ren, Mary Vacek of Spring, Texas, and Katie Eye of Canton, Ga., great-grandchild­ren, Jonah, Leah, Asher, Isaac, and Elanor.

Wesley graduated from Donelson High School and George Peabody College, Nashville, Tenn., earning a B.S. degree in Chemistry in 1958. He was employed the State of Tennessee Highway, Division of Materials and Testing from 1958-1967. From 1967-1992 Wesley was employed by ALCOA having lived in Port Lavaca, Texas, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Benton, Ark. He was a member of the Purchasing Management Associatio­n of Arkansas and received the CPM in 1983. Wesley served as President of the Arkansas Associatio­n and as National Director in 1984 receiving the most outstandin­g purchaser award in 1990. He was a 32 degree Mason and Life member of DAV. In his early years he was active in the Jaycees serving as President of the Tennessee Jaycees in 1966.

Wesley was an Episcopali­an and served on the vestry of Grace Episcopal in Port Lavaca, Texas, St. Matthews, Benton, Ark., St. Marks, Little Rock, Ark. He also served as a Lay Reader, Treasurer and led Daily Morning Prayer in St Mark’s chapel. Wesley was a member of the Sub Pac from 1951-1955 and helped commission ten submarines from moth balls at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, Calif., before becoming ships company aboard the submarine U.S.S. Catfish SS339 during the Korean War.
