Thursday morning on June 16, 2022, an angel appeared to take another angel home. We all knew her as ALENE TYGART STONE,

the best Southern cook in the state of Arkansas. She was loved by all who had the honor of knowing her and will be missed dearly.

Alene was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 48 years, Homer Stone; her only daughter, Dana Wren-frow Coney; Dana’s husband, Roy Coney; her oldest son, Homer Joe Stone; her mother and father, Joe T and Iva Tygart of Woodson; one brother, Tommy Tygart of Cabot; and one very special and best friend, Lou Lou Cox of Little Rock.

Surviving and left to hold all the wonderful memories is her devoted son, Jerry Stone of Little Rock; three grandchild­ren, Tracey Hoskins Frear (Leon) of Golden, Mo., Savannah Stone Valibaba (Josh) of Benton, Ark., and Asa Stone of Little Rock, Ark.; two great-grandchild­ren, Andrew Crook (Maranda) and Kaleb Crook, both of Springfiel­d, Mo.; one great-great-granddaugh­ter, Meadow Crook of Springfiel­d, Mo.

Siblings left to miss her are, Billy Joe Tygart of Woodson, Robert (Bob) Tygart (Carolyn) of Shirley, Sam Tygart (Lois), Priscilla “Dot” Carlton (James) and Maecile Howard Corrigan (Carroll), all of Hensley, Ark. Alene also left behind countless nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

The family is entrusting her to Roller-Chenal Funeral Home where she will be treated as the Lady she was and always will be to us. The family invites you to join the celebratio­n and reminiscin­g of her life and listen to her favorite song “High on The Mountain” by her favorite country artist, Vince Gill.
