beloved wife, mother, Granny, sister and friend went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022. She was born to the late Freddie and Archie Brown Scott on August 4, 1935, in Gurdon, Ark.

Bobbie Sue is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charner “C. A.” Franklin; daughters, Cindy Cotten of North Little Rock and Susan (Stan) Hines of Charlotte, North Carolina. Adoringly called Granny, she is also survived by her grandchildren, Jacob (Hailey) Norman of Jacksonville, Texas, Alan Thompson of North Little Rock, Casey Thompson of North Little Rock, Chad (Vanessa) Hines of Durham, N.C., Chase (Erin) Hines of Durham, Mackenzie (Tyler) Houin of New Orleans, La., and 10 great-grandchildren. Bobbie Sue was a sweet, loving mother and grandmother and loved cooking and feeding family and friends. She was famous throughout Arkansas and North Carolina for her chicken and dumplings, and chocolate and coconut pies. She never met a stranger - store clerks, neighbors, medical staff- were all lovingly called sugar, honey or sweetie pie.

Her gentle Southern manners, those Scott blue eyes and her sweet, loving heart will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 5-7 p.m., and funeral services Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m., both at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 JFK Blvd, North Little Rock. Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
