CONWAY — Jimmy Boyd (JB) Moore

-

age 74 of Conway, Ark., was returned to his creator by heaven’s special angels on January 28, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents Modean Ora Bohannon Moore and Meredith Edgar (Ras) Moore of Little Rock, Ark. His earthly journey left footprints on the hearts of many people.

JB is survived and will be missed by his loving and devoted wife of 37 years Maryagnes Moore, son Jim Davis, sisters Delores Campbell (Don), Mary Seal, Nancy Pendleton, Bonnie Davis (Glen), Carolyn Grahnert, mother-in-law Maryann Welter, sister-in-law Sharon Kovacs (Rich), brother-in-law Alan Welter (Lisa), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and his fur babies Coco and Red.

JB worked in the asphalt industry for over 40 years as a service technician, trouble shooter and plant installer. He worked on plants all over the world including Canada, Mexico, Europe, Diego Garcia, Ecuador and in every U.S. state except Alaska. There’s a good chance that in every state you have driven in, you have driven on asphalt that he either installed or fixed the plant that made it.

JB was one of those people who never met a stranger and would tell you a joke or story within minutes of meeting you and was always willing to lend a hand or tools. He had a great love of sweets and would often know where to get the best coconut cream pie in any area.

When he wasn’t watching wildlife, gardening, mowing or tinkering on his beautiful 80-acre farm in the Ozark Mountains, he might be found in the woods hunting, on the water fishing, in a casino playing the slots, or driving to Missouri for lottery tickets.

Honorary Pall Bearers are Jim Davis, Doyle Ragland, Edgar Godwin, Windell Taylor, Chris Gentry, Steve Campbell.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 3, 2023, from 5-7 p.m., at Ozark View Funeral 2 p.m., at the Marshall Memorial Gardens in Marshall, Ark., with Don Campbell and Roy Ragland officiating. At the family’s request, casual attire may be worn for the service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ozark View Funeral Home. To share a memory of condolences, please visit www.ozarkviewfuneralhome.com.
