BETTYE LOU RHEIN YAKOUBIAN,

-

age 77, of Little Rock, Ark., went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 17, 2023. She was born on June 8, 1945, to Edwin and Betty Rhein in Little Rock, Ark.

Bettye was an active member of Christ the King, and she did the Lord’s work in many ways. The dedication she had as a mother, grandmother, and wife as she cared for her husband, George, nine plus years after he suffered his stroke was immeasurable. Her father always told her, “A man is only as big as the things that annoy him.” and always told her children, “You can never have too many friends.” One of her greatest joys was cooking. Everyone- family, friends, co-workers, classmates and neighbors- who entered her kitchen was cared for, listened to, and well fed. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 37 years, George Yakoubian.

She is survived by sons, Scott Yakoubian (Crystal) and Todd Yakoubian (Andria); daughter, Dawn Yakoubian; Seven grandchildren, Erica, Rachel, Catherine, Jonathan, Rebecca, Blake and Preston Yakoubian.

A visitation and rosary for Bettye will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 6-8 p.m., at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W 12Th St, Little Rock, Ark., 72204. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church, 400 N Rodney Parham Rd, Little Rock, Ark. An entombment will occur Thursday, February 23, 2023, at noon at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Highway 5 N, Alexander, Ark., 72002.
