Harriet A. (Hughes) Lee, 76, a resident of Paris, formerly of Pine Bluff, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023, in Paris.

She was born December 2, 1946, in Pine Bluff to the late William Bledsoe and Mary Frances (Johnston) Hughes. After graduating high school Harriet earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Henderson University in Arkadelphi­a. Harriet spent most of her teaching career as a second-grade teacher at Matthews Elementary in the Dollarway School District in Pine Bluff, where she retired after 30 years of service. She married Hal Lee on August 23, 1968, at Lakeside Methodist Church in Pine Bluff. Harriet was a member of the Paris First United Methodist Church. In her spare time Harriet enjoyed shopping and traveling and cooking delicious meals for her family.

In addition to her parents, Harriet was preceded in death by her sister, Susan (Hughes) Stacey.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Hal Lee of Paris; a daughter, Mary Cauthron and husband, Jason of Paris; two grandchild­ren, Eric Cauthron and fiancé, Maddy Ward and Elizabeth Cauthron and numerous nieces and nephews including nephew, Scott Stacey.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with Rev. Judy Hall officiatin­g.

Graveside service and burial will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Pine Bluff Cemetery in Pine Bluff under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris. Pallbearer­s will be Jason Cauthron, Eric Cauthron, Jim Cauthron, Robert Taylor, Rick Varnell and Chris Hale. Chris Meyer will serve as honorary pallbearer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Paris First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 506, Paris, Ark., 72855.
