HAROLD REID MACINTIRE, JR.,

84, of Maumelle, Ark., passed away on February 21, 2023. He was born in Melrose, Mass., on October 31, 1938 to the late Harold Reid MacIntire, Sr. and Gertrude North MacIntire.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Stuart MacIntire and Ronald MacIntire; and infant daughter, Angela MacIntire.

Harold is survived by his wife, Rosa Peebles MacIntire; his son, Mitchell MacIntire (Michelle); his daughters, Shana MacIntire Chambers (Dale) and Teri MacIntire Kouri (Mike); stepson, Ralph Ruffin (Jamie); and a host of grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren and great-great-grandchild­ren.

Harold was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was proud to have served his country. He owned a fuel oil delivery business in Salem, N.H., for many years and was the city’s animal control officer. After moving to Shannon Hills, Ark., he was elected mayor and served in that capacity for sixteen years.

Harold loved getting his large family together as often as possible for a meal and fellowship. He always had lots of stories to tell and enjoyed having an audience to hear them. He enjoyed researchin­g his family genealogy and did genealogy work for many other people as well.

Harold was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock. He loved attending Sunday School and church and made many friends there.

Harold was a 33° mason and a member of several masonic organizati­ons.
