CABOT — Bobby C. Duncan, Sr.,

82, of Cabot, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023. He was born November 18, 1940, in Cabot to the late Henry I. Duncan and Janie V. Duncan Thompson. Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After retirement, he began a Civil Service career and retired in 2002 with a combined service of 37 years.

Bobby was all about sports and the great outdoors. If he was not playing ball, he was coaching ball.

In 1983, he was able to charter Cabot Little League Baseball in the Southwest Region to be able to play tournament­s toward the World Series. In 1986, he was instrument­al in re-starting the American Legion Baseball for Cabot. Bobby not only coached his children in various sports, but his grandchild­ren as well. He was also an avid fisherman, fly tier, and hunter. He loved being on the lake, fish biting or not.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, J. D. Duncan.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Lyndia L. Duncan; sister, Elizabeth Mitchell of Jacksonvil­le, Ark.; children, Bobby C. Duncan, Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., Barry Duncan (Wanda) of Austin, Donna King (Mark) of Cabot, and Donny Duncan (Tricia) of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandchild­ren, Barry Duncan, Jr. (Lindsey) of Austin, Courtney Duncan of Austin, Joshua Duncan (Baylee) of Wichita Falls, Texas, Jeremy Duncan (Jules) of Salem, Ore., Daniel Duncan (Ashley) of Cabot, and Dakota Duncan of Cabot; great-grandchild­ren, Lindsey, Chael, Hunter, and Grayson.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. and interment at Sumner Cemetery. Please sign our online guestbook for the family at www.moorescabo­tfuneralho­me.com.
