of Conway joined her Heavenly home on March 9, 2023, when she peacefully passed away with her daughter by her side. She was born on March 11, 1932, in Gainesvill­e, Mo., and was raised in the Branson, Mo., area where she graduated from The School of the Ozarks when it was a high school, now known as The College of the Ozarks.

After residing in Illinois, she returned to Ava, Mo., where she began an over 20-year career at Wal-Mart in Missouri and Arkansas. She then retired and moved to Conway to be near family.

She excelled in making quilts, and spent many hours devoted to this craft, and was a member of many quilt guilds. Her collection of teapots was also a passion, as she collected close to 200 over the years.

She was a long-time member of Peace Lutheran Church in Conway, which she faithfully attended until her failing health.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dessie Frye; husband, Orville Murray; sister and husband, Joe Ann and Jim Spurlin; and son, Richard Stadler.

She is survived by a daughter, Betsy (Rodger) Smith of Conway; grandsons, Ryan Smith of Hendersonv­ille, Tenn., David (Anna) Smith and Benjamin Smith (Catherine Demailly), all of Conway; granddaugh­ter, Melissa (Joe) Cascio of Illinois; grandsons, Tavian and Dillon Smith of Indiana; great-granddaugh­ters, Charissa Cascio of Illinois, and Andee Vick of Arkansas. She is also survived by one niece, Jill Spurlin Williams; and nephews, Jeff and Joe (Rhonda) Spurlin, all of Missouri.

Included are also special relations, Tina Leach, Amy Carling, Brian Hord, Chrissie Hord, and devoted friends, Claire Duderstadt, Pat Blencowe, and Viola Altstatt.

Services will be on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, with visitation at 1 p.m. and services at 2 p.m., with Deacon Bob Morris of Peace Lutheran officiatin­g.
