▪ Els van der Plas, director of the Allard Pierson historical museum in the Netherland­s, said “cultural heritage became a victim of geopolitic­al developmen­ts” as artifacts held at the Dutch museum were finally shipped to Ukraine after a dispute between the country and Russia over whether they belonged in Crimea or Kyiv.
